Drawing upon the work of four bold filmmakers, we will participate in a dialog about what we can do as artists and individuals to create a sea change in the social and political climate currently faced by undocumented youth and adults, and to challenge the dominant frame of criminality and punishment.

The Portal weaves live music, cinematography, poetry and dramatic lighting for the ultimate multimedia experience. Experience the power of mythology as multiple performances of The Portal create an epic, mythological journey into the heart of humanity. The audience may dance, chant and trance within the mysteries of The Portal through “epic rock music” performances infused with tribal and body-shaking beats.  The audience will be on a spiritual-visual journey of deserts and mountains as well as fractal elements of fire, water and love. Each evening features different guests & performances to accompany The Portal.

Whereas the public square was once the quintessential place to air grievances, display solidarity, express difference, celebrate similarity, remember, mourn, and reinforce shared values of right and wrong, it is no longer the only anchor for interactions in the public realm. That geography has been relocated to a novel terrain, one that encourages exploration of mobile location based public art.

At War reaches a resolution with a panel discussion including Rebekah Edwards and Monica Jane Peck, the authors of essays and criticism about the exhibition. Joining the panel is contributing video artist Daniel Lichtenberg, Truong Tran’s artistic collaborator. The discussion is followed by a Q&A session with exhibiting artists and curators Peter Max Lawrence and Truong Tran.

I am a fourth edition product of the United States. I am a married divorced bi-curious actor singer dancer producer philanthropist with kids (1 adopted), known for playing Morë Logín on the internet reality TV show called “Reality” about a real reality (The state of things as they actually exist, rather than as they may appear or might be imagined. In a wider definition, reality includes everything that is and has been, whether or not it is observable or comprehensible.
