This spring Kearny Street Workshop facilitated an exploration through performance, drawing, and writing the little-known histories and back alleyways that make up the South of Market, a uniquely San Franciscan neighborhood, at a critical juncture of its present and future. As part of Kearny Street’s programming series Auto(SOMA)tic, a free, 6-session drawing workshop was held at SOMArts and taught by artist Jenifer K. Wofford.
Join the graduates of these recently completed workshops in drawing and short story writing as they unveil new work inspired by investigations into SOMA’s evolving history, ecology, and landscape. The event features live readings and an art exhibition.
