Asian American Dance Performances presents the premiere of danceNaganuma's Ceremony of Angels, a sculptural dance of great beauty and uniqueness. A blend of ballet and Butoh dance styles, the piece features choreography by Claudine Naganuma and sound design by Guillermo Galindo.

Legends of Our Ancestors–Magicians with a Message
Magicians with a Message presents Legends of Our Ancestors, interweaving dance, song, ventriloquism, and magic to explore the myths and tales of Chinese ancestry. The entertaining show introduces a younger audience to the culture, history, and traditions of the Chinese, and exemplifies the group's goal of educating children through performance and theater.

Asian American Dance Performances

Asian American Dance Performances presents Pacific Breeze, a curated showcase of traditional and contemporary dance works by Asian American choreographers. This will be an opportunity to discover, in a relaxed setting, emerging choreographers and get re-acquainted with established ones. The showcase will highlight the work of Eri Majima, Judy Kajiwara, Lily Wang and ChingChi Yu.

Asian American Theater Company, the National Queer Arts Festival and Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center co-present (a)eromestiza, three evenings of video, installation and live performance by queer, Pinay, Asian Pacific Islander and mixed heritage women. Each evening offers experimental, text-based, visual, movement and theoretical perspectives on race, gender, sexuality, and the endurance of the mind and body of the queer API woman as she exists and moves through the world.
