SOMARTS Gallery, San Francisco and Axis Mondi, Paris present an exchange art exhibition, opening at SOMARTS Gallery on February 7. The exhibition will go to Salle du Vieux Colombiers, Paris, France, April 10-27. Axis Mondi is an organization of artists in Paris formed to organize international exchange exhibitions.

In this invitational exhibition 14 international artists exhibit together in one exhibition with two exciting locations. Installation, drawings, paintings, video, photography and performance reflect an itinerary shared by these artists: the city, identity, the other, the imaginary.

San Francisco participants are Daniel McCormick, environmental sculptor; Jacqueline Mallegni, fiber, stone and light sculptor; painters Ricky Martinez, Betsie Miller-Kusz, and Carlos Loarca; Veronique Simar, interactive drawing and writing; and Claudia Chapline, co-curator and polystyrene sculptor.

Parisian participants are painters Paulina Autio, who will perform at the opening , Vanessa Bensimen, Zivo, and co-curators Julia Colmenares and Celine Charpentier; photographers Solange Reboul and Juan de Sande.
