War
and Silence

May
1-28
In
the exhibition War and Silence, a diverse group of artists working in
multiple genres reflects on the effects of war in the history of Asian
Pacific Americans, with a focus on the impact created by the current
build-up to the United States’ war with Iraq and the violence
and intolerance fostered by America's "war on terrorism."
The issues of silence as well as speaking up against the atrocity of
war in the community are addressed in this stirring community exhibition.
Among the artists in the show are Rick Godinez, Betty Kano, May Chan,
and filmmakers Valerie Soe and Ramsel Ruiz. KSW will host a reception
on Saturday, May 3, from 5-7 pm.
