The 9th annual
USAAF arts festival in association with kaotic good productions, is proud
to present Robert Karimi in his multidisciplinary performance, man/mardaan:
farid to freddie mercury.
Professor Persis M. Karim will conduct a community discussion after each
performance.

For two evenings,
critically acclaimed performance artist/poet Robert Karimi will present
excerpts of his new work, man/mardaan: farid to freddie mercury, a performative
quest to discover the joys and sorrows of Persian masculinity in a time
of war through personal interviews, a search for a wrestling champion,
and the conjuring of a pop star. Visual artist Ala Ebtekar has created
set pieces for the show, which is directed by acclaimed performance artist
Shawn Taylor.
