SomArts Cultural Center now has the ability to stream LIVE, high-quality video over the internet.  We can stream either Windows Media or Quicktime at up to 350Kbps.  The costs for this service is as follows:

Camera Operator - $50 per hour
Equipment (Camera & Laptop) - $50/day
Bandwidth Charges - See below

Bandwidth Charges will depend on the number of viewers who tune in to your webcast.  We charge $0.01 (one cent) per MegaByte of data transferred, which equates to roughly $1.32 per viewer per hour (at 300Kbps compression).

i.e. If 1 person watched a 1 hour webcast, it would cost $1.32.  If 10 people watched a 1 hour webcast, it would cost $13.20 etc...

Therefore, if you require a Camera Operator, Equipment, and have a 2 hour webcast that 20 people watch, your TOTAL COST would be:

$50 * 2 (camera operator for 2 hours) + $50 (equipment) + $1.32 * 2 * 20 (2 hour webcast for 20 viewers) = $202.80
