Project’s Mission Statement
The Neighborhoods Vision Project (NVP) is a collaborative community service initiative that seeks to mobilize youth from various San Francisco neighborhoods to design, implement, and work together on community service projects in each other’s neighborhoods. With the mentorship of University of California, Berkeley students and community members, youth from Mission High School will organize their own community service ventures and collaborate with youth from various San Francisco neighborhoods to complete them. NVP provides an opportunity for service-based learning and empowers youth to begin to break the isolation of San Francisco neighborhoods and encourage cooperative interaction among them.
