Join La Cocina for our third annual Food & Entrepreneurship Conference, providing 200+ attendees a chance to celebrate how faces, spaces, policies and technologies come together to create an environment where food businesses can thrive!
Sunday Brunch features dishes from La Cocina participants Mariko, Olive, and Guadalupe and visiting chefs Matt Jennings, Nick Pihakis, and Suvir Saran, along with mimosas and coffee. Sunday afternoon brings successful female chefs including Patricia Unterman (Hayes Street Grill), and innovative immigrant entrepreneurs including Nazi Sidiq (East and West Gourmet Afghan Food), Chiefo Chukwudebe (Chiefo’s Kitchen), and Hoss Zare (Zare at Fly Trap).
On Monday, current and future food entrepreneurs and policy enthusiasts gather for a day of conversations such as “How to Write about Your Own Food” with New York Times columnist John T. Edge and editors of Saveur Magazine, “Creating Spaces for Mobile Foods” with Carlos Muella (SOMA StrEat Food) and Lizzy Caston (Nola Food Trucks) and sessions about technology, funding, and economic development. La Cocina business Bini’s Kitchen will serve a Nepalese lunch and a Happy Hour wraps up the event!
