Making a Scene: Interview Roundup

The legacy of Bay Area alternative spaces is huge. Because our gallery only has so many square feet, here is a roundup of the interviews we’ve been conducting as part of Making a Scene: 50 Years of Alternative Bay Area Spaces, in hopes of sharing even more stories of impact and vital histories by organizations making space for artists outside the status quo. Making a Scene opens at SOMArts on Thursday, July 9, 6–9pm, & on view during gallery hours through August 20th. This list will continue to be updated as we post more interviews throughout the run of the exhibition!
