Join NODE (Network of Daily Experience) researchers  in the gallery during the Performing Community exhibition for an archiving workshop that will delve deeper into the history, present issues and future of SOMA. Participants are invited to share their individual insights into this vibrant community through contributing memories, stories, future dreams, objects, text, images, sound, photography, or video. Archive contributions of any and all media will be featured in the exhibition and on the Archive SOMA website at www.archive-soma.com.

Performing Community, July 6–26, 2012 at SOMArts Cultural Center, is a group exhibition which connects artists with audiences to explore and inform community building and creative placemaking in SOMA, San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood. Curators Laura Poppiti and Kara Q. Smith  were selected for one of four Commons Curatorial Residencies taking place at SOMArts in 2011–12. Click here to  learn more about the exhibition.
