The Queer Ancestors Project is devoted to forging sturdy relationships between LGBTQI people and our ancestors. Using history as a linchpin, we build community by providing young Queer adults (age 18 to 26) free interdisciplinary workshops in the Chrysalis Print Studio at SOMArts Cultural Center in printmaking and Queer history. Public exhibitions and readings of their work provide a window on the past through which the large community can glimpse our collective future.

The Project is generously supported by The San Francisco Arts Commission, SOMArts, Chrysalis Studio, and The San Francisco LGBT Community Center and the Zellerbach Foundation.
