This month in conjunction with the Litquake festival, ArtSpan & SOMArts, the reading series Quiet Lightning will be held in the Main Gallery at SOMArts among over 400 works by SF Open Studios artists.
Be there early! First 150 people get a copy of sparkle + blink 58 with art by Sidney Stretz (pictured above). Plus, there are two great art exhibitions to see: Visions at Twilight: Dia de los Muertos 2014 & the SF Open Studios Exhibition.
This show is $10. There are a limited number of tickets–– get one in advance. Cheap ice cold drafts courtesy of Lagunitas Brewing Company and other refreshments, including wine and non-alcoholic beverages, will be available. Reader biographies are here.
About Quiet Lightning
A blind, submission-based reading series since the first show in December 2009, Quiet Lightning presents all forms of writing as a literary mixtape: each author follows the next without banter or introduction so that the energy, language, and themes all build off of one another to create a composite work of art, carefully put together each month by two different curators (for which they also accept applications) and printed verbatim in a corollary publication.
