Q: I am interested in using the Bay Gallery for an exhibition. Do I need exhibition insurance?
A: SOMArts Bay Gallery is also the main thoroughfare to our offices, classrooms and other event spaces and is accessible to the public during building hours. We strongly encourage taking whatever precautions you feel are necessary to protect your work, including scheduling a gallery monitor during your exhibition and using secure hanging techniques to ensure that your artwork is properly protected.
Q: Will I have access to telephones, computers, and/or wireless internet for my event?
Q: I would like to place a sign or banner outside the building in advance of my event. Can I arrange this?
A: Due to the large number of events that come through the building we cannot guarantee signage, but we will do what we can to work with you if you let us know your needs in advance. We strongly recommend advance requests for any signage inside or outside of the building.
Q: What about moving furniture such as the refrigerator, reception desk, etc.?
A: Physical equipment or facilities are not to be moved, removed or changed without the permission of SOMArts staff. In some cases, large furniture can be moved. Additional labor charges may apply.
