In addition to providing below-market space for performances, exhibitions and classes, SOMArts provides a number of support services.

Affordable Space Program

Participants who submit event listings receive publicity assistance through the SOMArts egroup and on our website. SOMArts staff provide technical assistance to event planners who need help timelining their event and planning logistics.

Fiscal Sponsorship

SOMArts provides a limited number of fiscal sponsorships for emerging groups and artist projects that fit our mission.

Main Gallery Exhibitions & Programs

Recipients of the Commons Curatorial Residency receive help planning and installing their exibition as well as publicity assistance and help with community outreach.

Professional Development

SOMArts offers free space to San Francisco-based organizations who are offering free professional development workshops for artists. Opportunity may be limited due to demand. For more information, fill out an event request form (Google Form link).

Technical Services Program

Tech Services provides staging, wheelchair accessible lifts, seating, PA systems and consultation for neighborhood fairs and festivals.
