The San Francisco Youth Arts Summit brings together young artists from San Francisco organizations for a full day of exhibits, performances, workshops and free food. This year youth leaders from Out of Site, YBCA’s Young Artists at Work and the C.I.T.Y. Teen Program at the Children’s Creativity Museum partnered to make this an event you won’t want to miss.

Youth can make prints to trade through Out of Site’s bartering bank and ATM (Art That Matters) machine, create a stop-motion video, enjoy spontaneous projections and performances, screen video artwork and get a sneak peak at an upcoming theatrical production. The day includes poetry, theater, printmaking and video workshops and more!

This year the summit culminates with a 5pm performance competition open to all high school youth and youth groups. For a chance to perform on the main stage and win cash prizes, sign up at

About Out of Site
The San Francisco Youth Art Summit is brought to you by the Out of Site Youth Arts Center. Out of Site is a San Francisco nonprofit that provides free visual and performing arts programs and paid internships in the arts for public high school students in San Francisco. Students come to Out of Site for a chance to experiment in the arts and a place to be themselves; they find artistic training, new mediums for self-expression and community engagement, and a diverse and supportive community.

Support for the Summit
The summit is supported in large part by a youth-led Youth Empowerment Fund grant, as well as the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services and the Koshland Program of the San Francisco Foundation. Out of Site’s major funders include the San Francisco Department of Children, Youth and their Families, the San Francisco Neighborhood Arts Collaborative, the San Francisco Arts Commission, the California Arts Council, the Syzygy Foundation, the Morris Stulsaft Foundation, the San Francisco Foundation, Stuart Kogod and Denise Garone, Roselyn Swig, John Osterweis and Barbara Ravizza, and Larry and Joyce Stupski.

This exhibition is presented at SOMArts through participation in the Affordable Space Program, which provides below-market rental space, production and publicity assistance to nonprofit organizations. For more information visit our rentals page.
