SOMArts Seeks N3 Media Fellow

SOMArts Cultural Center embraces the entire spectrum of arts practice and cultural identity. It is a multicultural, community-built space where cutting-edge events and counterculture commingle with traditional art forms. The Neighborhood News Network (N3) Media Fellow will work with the Director of Communications & Community Engagement to create powerful videos capturing the unique stories of members of the SOMArts community, as well as footage of exhibitions and events at the South of Market Cultural Center.

One of the central outcomes of the Fellowship will be the completion of a 2-5 minute video documenting our annual Day of the Dead exhibition. Another will be a 2-5 minute video which embodies the identity of SOMArts as it relates to our mission statement (insurrection, connection and community through the arts) while showcasing our unique physical space and highlighting the many services and positive community impact that SOMArts provides. Additionally, the Fellow will produce other shorter videos that compellingly tell the stories of artists, cultural communities, and the many non-profit organizations and festivals that collaborate with SOMArts to achieve their creative vision.
